The HHS Athletic Fee is set by Littleton Public Schools.
$135 per sport/athlete; $270 maximum per athlete/ per year; $405 maximum per family per year. **
This participation fee is required for all student athletes. It will not be charged if the student athlete does not make the team or if they choose not to participate prior to the first contest, including scrimmages.
The entire LPS Athletic Fee goes back to District to help offset the cost of the Sport Programs. Any team booster fees will be paid directly to that team. None of the $135.00 district athletic fee goes towards booster fees.
** These fees do not apply to Belles, Cheer, Boys & Girls Lacrosse and Ice Hockey. These teams please contact their respective Coach or Parent Board.
ATHLETIC CLEARANCE CARDS
All student-athletes must obtain a Clearance Card to hand to their Coach on the first official day of practice/tryouts before they can participate.
To obtain a Clearance Card, the student must be registered on-line and the Athletic Office must have a current & valid physical form on file for him/her (Physical Forms are valid for 365 days). If there is already a physical form on file from a previous season/sport, it is the student’s responsibility to check that it is still current and valid.
To avoid delays in participating at the start of the season, please pick up the Clearance Card before the first day of practice/tryouts. Clearance Cards are available for pick-up at the Athletic Office.
All student athletes must be eligible under policies established by the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA). These polices can be found on their website at www.chsaa.org. Please see LPS Athletic Code of Conduct for additional information.
HHS Athletic Dept runs the Weekly Eligibility Report every Thursday at 2:00 pm. This report determines a student-athlete’s eligibility to compete the following week, from Monday to Saturday.
If a student is not passing after the Weekly Eligibility Report has ran, the student-athlete must pick up a Grade Verification Form from the Athletic Office and have it completed by the teacher. Once this is done the athlete must return the signed form to the Athletic Office for the AD's signature at which time they will be give a copy to turn in to his/her coach. This process must be completed by 3:00 pm on Friday to be eligible for the following week.
HHS Physical Forms can be obtained from the Athletic website under “Forms”. Have the doctor complete the form and return it to the Athletic Office.
If the doctor uses their own form, the form must have the following information:
The date and year of the physical
A statement that clearly states the student is cleared to participate in sports.
The doctor’s signature
All Physicals are valid for 365 days. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure the Physical Form on file in the Athletic Office is current during the sport’s season.
LPS DISTRICT PHYSICALS
LPS District Physicals are usually offered to LPS students at less cost than at a clinic. This event is put on by the three LPS high schools in conjunction with Physiotherapy Associates.
Physiotherapy Associates (Physio) Greenwood has provided the Littleton Public Schools with great care for over a decade. Every year the staff, as well as the physicians, volunteers their time to provide LPS families with the best care possible to help ensure our student-athletes will have a successful season.
The location of the District Physicals is rotated amongst the three high schools and is usually on a Saturday morning, between 8:00 am to 11:30 am.
NATIONAL SIGNING DAY
HHS Signing Day is held in April on National Signing Day of each year. Any athlete who will be participating needs to contact the Athletic Office one month prior to the ceremony.
