Heritage Community - please help us officially welcome Heritage’s very own Jill Schrader as the new Athletic Director at Heritage High School! Jill joined the HHS staff in 2000 as a science teacher. She then became the Activities Director in 2016 before accepting the Athletic Director position at the start of the 20-21 school year. Jill is a Heritage alumna and her photo can be found on the Athletic Wall of Fame. She was a three-sport athlete at Heritage, participating in volleyball, swimming, and track & field. You can still find her name in the CHSAA record book for total blocks in a career. Jill was awarded a full ride scholarship for volleyball from Valparaiso University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry. She is still ranked #6 in ACES and ranked #10 in blocks at Valparaiso. She also has a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado. Jill has an incredible athletic background both as an athlete and as a coach. She was the assistant girls' swim coach for 20 years from 1999-2019, the head girls' golf coach from 2000-2010, the assistant girls' tennis coach from 2014-2018 and was a part of the volleyball staff off and on throughout the years. We are so excited to have Jill on the Athletics side, and although this is a strange year, we are very optimistic about the plans she has in store for our athletes and teams!
